Nicely Broken

Its been seven years of friendship. Vikram and Shreya are the best eyes for each other. Our hero is working as a software engineer for the US based company and Shreya is a custom officer. She is 26, short and cute. Our hero is muscular and man of all seasons. Their bonding is like the bond of hydrogen and hydrogen. Seven years were full of ups and down for Vikram. For our hero, it was not easy in the beginning. Why I am calling Vikram ‘a hero’? The reason states that Vikram had a deep crush on Shreya in class 11 and 12. Shreya was in tie with Abhimanyu. Vikram wanted Shreya so much that till now he is not been able to think for any other girl. He kept the things very simple for Shreya. He never confessed these things to her. He never crossed his line for her. He was her best friend. Shreya has a never breaking trust on Vikram. Vikram has guaranteed that trust. He has a plan that he would study and get settled first, and then would propose Shreya on the hill station of Manali.  He got a very good job. He was very happy. But before he could convince Shreya for a Manali ride, Shreya introduced her new king on the board ‘Kabir’. Kabir as the name says, is our Ranbir Kapoor of this play. This boy is amazing. He owns the most expensive body of the city. He is the owner of five professional gymnasium of the town. When Vikram met Kabir, Vikram was overshadowed by the hunk. Vikram was so happy for Shreya that he cried whole night. Boys do cry but in isolation. Vikram didn’t talk with her two days. But how can someone not understand the feelings a best friend. I know friendship is important but love has a more meaning than a friendship. Our hero was a macho and very tough. He decided to end this ‘ishq wala love’ for Shreya. He changed his city. In fact,he tried so hard to move to US, he failed every time. He started giving time to himself and his family. He learnt guitar and singing. Although he was still in touch with her.

On 15th march,2020, Shreya invited our hero for a dinner. Our hero arrived there. The house was lightened up and food was served in the Roman style. ‘You are looking like a Kabir Singh’, Shreya complimented on his new looks. ‘Where is Kabir?’, was the question followed up by hero. ‘Forget him, tell me how am I looking?’, Shreya wanted a return compliment now. Our hero said,’ I think your glow is fading away, your charm is spreading in and you are getting old.’ She then said this.’ I think I am dying.’. our hero added,’ nobody dies Shreya and you will live till I am here.’ Both finished their dinner. Shreya had made a cookie for the hero. She served and asked for a wish. He said,’ I have a wish to go back in class 11 and to see you like never before.’ Shreya was even not ducking for these bouncers by Vikram. For the first time in her life, Vikram was this much wild and straight forward. She said, And I wish for a song from you.’ Vikram sang a song from Arijit Sing’s playlist. While he was singing, Shreya was continuously gaging into that sparkling eyes. He finished his singing. Then, Shreya went to him, I mean to him, very close, close like 10 cm. ‘Can I ask you something, where is Kabir?’, our hero out of idiotism passed this to Shreya. Shreya hold his hand and said,’ See, I have chosen few bad persons in my life and he is one of them. I never thought of you. I should have. You are the best person in the whole world. And I am the worst friend ever. ‘. ‘ You never had to choose me Shreya, I was already for you. I just failed in expressing myself properly. I should have proposed you in class 11 itself but you were so much into Abhimanyu there. From Abhimanyu to Kabir, you were always with someone better than me. I used to care for you. I used to love you a lot. I never said that to you. I thought it was bit understandable for us.’, our hero carved these lines to her.’ I am getting married to Kabir next month’, she paused after saying this.’ What! I mean seriously. Then, why am I here? Oh! Now I get. You wanted me to invite in person na,cool.’, Vikram replied. Shreya came close to him, like 15 cm and said,’ You wanted to see you like never before, so I invited you here.’. ‘But I don’t want to see you. I mean you are put on so much weight bro. you look different.’, our hero replied. Then Shreya hugged him like four Mississippi. Then both talked for hours. Hero left her when she was fall asleep in his lap. While leaving, he looked at her for couple of minutes and realized that it is the correct time for him to get marry now.
